November 15 is America Recycles Day
November 15 is America Recycles Day—Every three months, Americans add enough aluminum to landfills to rebuild the entire U.S. commercial airline fleet. And throw away enough office paper each year to build a 12-foot-high wall of paper from New York City to Seattle.
But every year we have the opportunity to do better. Each year, November 15 is America Recycles Day and is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products.
America Recycles Day is the opportunity for all of us to encourage friends, family and acquaintances to recycle. Together we can promote the social, environmental and economic benefits of recycling.
